it's FRIDAY =D
which means the last day of my very boring week.
and the day before my ever-exciting weekend.

watched up sometime during the week.
not as funny as previous animated movies.
and this one was superbly unrealistic.

last night,
i dreamt of eugie, my family and 2 bees/wasps.
looked more like wasps to me.
it was 2 separate dreams actually.
the first one being me and eugie going to a toilet after some movie.
strange.
and the toilet was so dirty.
but the dirt disappeared halfway when i was inside.
and i was barefoot!

the second dream being me and my family chasing 2 wasps out of the house through the kitchen window.
and i kept spraying insect repellent at it the whole time.
but someone told me the wasps would chase after the person spraying at it.

empty.
i wake up to an empty house everyday.

there's something wrong with my blogger website.
the box i'm typing in is so small.

anyway,
now that i've realised i can post,
i have 2 urges.
one is to keep shrimps.
and maybe eat them when they become bigger.
or maybe not, since that's so sadistic.
and the other urge is to lie on the beach of sentosa for a few hours.
so that the deadly rays of the sun will up my probability of getting skin cancer.
see,
that's why i said the moon should not move off the sun.
oh, the wonders of total solar eclipses.
i'm still wondering why some people think it's a bad omen.

and i'm still contemplating about a shopping spree right before the gss officially ends.
cue the wailing and sobbing.
thinking of breaking the bank just this one time.
for a good cause right??

i'm grateful for her offering to buy my lunch.

and any living soul would get hungry in that approximate 2 hours.

today there was a total solar eclipse.
and i woke up at 8 am specially for it.
am proud of my achievement,
given that 10/11 am is my usual hour of peeking open my peepers.

not that sg's getting any 'total',
we were supposed to have 'partial'.
it was dark out the window,
and i thought the solar eclipse was getting ahead of itself.
but turns out it was just dark cumulonimbus clouds,
waiting to unleash its many little droplets of h20 mixed with acidic contents.

and so i turned on the telly to ch u.
watched the live telecast from china.
can't believe i put myself to listening to rapid chinese spoken with a curly tongue early in the morning.
but come to think of it,
with all that poisonous smog layer over there,
who can see the total solar eclipse,
let alone the sun??
shall give them credit for trying.

at about 9.30am,
india had the first experience of the total solar eclipse.
but they didn't have street lights.
so it was moon moving over sun,
moving,
moving,
moving,
taking its own sweet time,
moving,
then poof!
total darkness in the live feed.
except for the circular rim of light up above,
it was just black plus cheering/screaming/chanting from the people near the cameraman.

things were better when it happened in china.
at least we could see the host and the locals.
thanks to the wonder of streetlighting and thomas edison.

japan was supposed to have the longest total solar eclipse,
at about 6 mins 30 secs.

so the moon covered the sun.
and turns out,
the duration that the moon takes to move off the sun completely is about 1 to 2 hours.
oh my, yes, BIG GROAN.
no way was i staying awake till 11am for that.
the moon can stay over the sun for all i care.
then it wont be so warm in sg,
YAYE.

wow,
the next total solar eclipse will be in year 2132.
hope i'll live long enough to see it.
any tips for longevity?
i'll need to survive the next 123 years.

i wanna go horseback riding.
missed the very pleasant experience in new zealand.
it wont be the same here in sg.
there's no cooling wind,
no natural soft grass,
no acres of land,
unlike over there.
but it wont hurt to try riding in sg.
the few places in sg looks just a tad appealing.
shall look it up sometime.


i hate Hate HATE NS.
but i'm glad to say we're 1 and a half years left to its champagne-worthy end.

can't wait for the commission ball this year end also.
maybe i should get that gorgeous black zipped toga dress for the ball.

as what my sis told me once before.
and sometimes i'm afraid of meeting friends one-on-one.

too troublesome to watch finish.

plus there's only 3 weeks left till school opens.

at least there's one part i'm comfortable with.

just got a new lappie.
but it's not in the colour i want.
and it's a tad on the heavy side.
not sure whether i'll use it for school tho.
but i guess i might as well accept the exercise i'm getting while lugging it around.
if i use this lappie,
then i shall get pretty accessories for it.
but i will still get pretty accessories even if i get another lappie.

went for the nus medical check up this morning.
and i took a freaking 1.5 hours to get there.
but coz of the major jam on the pie.

whee, i'm still 1.63m,
never shrink!

and my weight dropped to 44.8kg.
didn't know bumming in front of the com can make people lose weight.
can forget about relying on the atkin's diet, southbeach diet, fat flush diet and other what-nots.
those dont work!
just use the bumming diet.

with super ex but supposedly nice durian from balestier.
but it was not mine to be.
